CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
This qualification reflects the role of workers in the aged care sector operating in residential settings, clients' homes and community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility to provide services to people with complex care needs, assist in program development and deliver individualised care.

2020 intake dates: Rolling intake throughout 2020
Course Duration: 12 months
Mode of delivery: Full-time using a combination of online learning, classroom-based training and work experience (practicum placement).
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, classroom-based training is currently delivered in our online classroom
Practicum placement: Students who are not employed in a registered and approved home and community care facility must complete a minimum of 120 hours of practicum placement. This practicum placement is mandatory, and a requirement for completion of this qualification. Our support team may be able to assist students in arranging their practicum placement, but we encourage students to contact industry and arrange their own (the placement must, however, be approved by A Grade Education and Training prior to commencement). Students must obtain a positive National Criminal History check before commencing placement.
Due to current COVID19 restrictions, there may be some restriction to work placement. However, this may change as the government reduces the restrictions.
Course Structure: The Certificate IV in Ageing Support is made up of a total of 18 units of competency. The course includes 15 core units and 3 elective units.

- Learners must meet the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills standards for Certificate IV in Ageing Support level study.
- Learners must obtain a positive National Criminal History Check.
- Learners must be at least 18 years of age and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- A Grade Education and Training encourages people with disabilities to apply. Approval will be subject to the person being able to undertake all tasks and requirements of the course.
Students are required to:
- Obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Provide a valid ID with his/her picture and signature
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer
